I've decided to draw something quite different from what I usually draw, plus I felt like I wanted to step away from the photo bashing so here's something new. His name is Mr. Bubbles. Super fun to work on and definitely a project for future iterations. :)

New Work process.

I've been going through my facebook feed and I stumbled upon Jan Urschel who is a wicked Concept Artist. I have closely studied his work and some of his process pictures and I came up with a process that could both help me to produce better work and speed my workflow. I mainly use this method to set up perspective and composition.

So this is a quick landscape made using Zbrush. For a base I used a plane, then I used couple of my rock Alphas on it to generate bumps, rocks and topology flow. I then transferred the plane into keyshot, where I added texture and a light source.
And here's the final painting. Quite different from the original 3D model, but as I mentioned before, I mainly use this method for idea generation.
Hope you find this useful.
I got super hyped for Wildstar after it's been announced as a F2P game. Decided to do a quick sculpture bust. Really enjoyed it.

Some more Uni related work. These were done for the pure idea generation. I wanted to do quick paintings that could help me and my team establish color palette, mood and location layout.
These are quite random, and much different from each other, but I think they definitely helped us in decision making.

Haven't had much time recently to post anything new due to the fact that I was super busy with Uni work.
I want to share with you what I've been working on recently. This stuff is for a game set in Victorian England. Super fun project. Hope you guys like it.
