More figure studies from today. I am really enjoying this and I can see some major improvement in how I understand lightning, use of tones and the weight of the figure.

Hey everyone,
Here are my pose paintings from today. I was always afraid to approach this topic and even though I take weekly life drawing classes I still consider this theme as my weakness and personal fear.  I am doing my best to overcome this obsticle and improve in this field as much as I can, plus I fel in love with these and it is something enjoyable considering I always focused on sci-fi and fantasy genre.

Some times I like to go to a "Spit painting" group at Facebook and borrow few topic from there.

A sketch that I did while on train. I like to spend as much free time as possible on mastering my drawing skills. I find a journey to my Uni a perfect time to draw whatever comes to my head.

After a lecture with Mike McCarthy, a man behind Fable Concept art, I was so pumped up to draw. It was the best two hours of my life. I learned so much and I can't wait to see him again.

Black Blood.

Lately I was tired of spit painting, as I felt that I was not learning enough from these.
I felt like I had to sacrifice a lot of to achieve respectful final outcome
I decided to spend a lot more time on my paintings and really dig into them. Now I am able to try and error without any time restrictions.

I'll also provide step by step of my process. I always liked these so I figured I'd do the same. :)

New painting. Kind of came out of nowhere.
I like it when you draw and all the sudden you start noticing shapes and lines that join together and form a painting.
Anyway, here's the painting.

Thor

After seeing new Thor something had to be done.

30 minutes spit painting.

I had to approach this theme about five times.

Couldn't resist to throw in another painting before I got to sleep.

Mask of the Betrayer
Named after soundtrack I listened to during painting this piece. 
THis was initialy a speed painting challange, but I liked it so much I've decided to develop it futher. 

So I joined a Facebook group which is titled 'Sketchbook Challange'. I think it was a good idea, because it forces me to draw everyday and keep certain level of quality (you don't want to look bad in between amazing Artsits!).
Anyway, some Batman stuff that grew after playing Arkham City whole weekend long.

My practice of real life things. Here, as you can see, I've drawn/sketched pair of firemen.
Quite happy with it as I managed to capture the shapes and forms that represent humans.
Anyway, can't wait to jump in and do another piece.

My weakest point is definitely character design and human forms. I always tried to avoid these, but I chose to face my biggest enemy and practice it as much as possible.
Here is my new painting that came out of some silhouette designs.

Oh, before I forget; I have ordered a new book called "Drawing from the imagination". I found out about it from one of my favourite Artist, Richard Anderson. And since it is published by 3D Total it's a must have for me.

Personal projects are always fun. I love to sit down, put on some good music and enjoy painting.
This painting came out of nowhere. After looking through forums and websites to fill up my daily dose of Art, I jumped right in and started creating.
Anyway, here is the outcome.

Part of my project that I did for my animation class. The whole point of it was to tell a simple story of fantasy genre and present it as animation (atleast this is how I chose to do it). This dragon was one of the animation slides but I thought it looked good enough to be an illustration on its own.

After long awaited moment, I have finally bought myself a new Tablet!
Right away I started sketching, painting and doodling to get use to the new piece of tech.
Intuos 5 L is simply amazing. Here is something that came out from it after playing around with my new toy.

I have this design wondering around my head. Lately I've been looking through paintings of Luke Mancini. I've started doodling, and hopefuly when my mind is clear, start a full painting.

Flying City

A piece I've titled "Flying City". An excersise I found to be very rewarding. I took a small section from a photo of mine and I've rotated it around to find interesting angle. Later on I've worked over it to create this flying construction.
